We like it. Even though it is not a "cool touch" toaster, it might as well be. I deliberately touch the sides as soon as the toast pops up and can only feel a faint amount of warmth. I especially like the toast lifter feature so I don't burn my fingers reaching into the toaster to remove a bagel,English muffin or a short slice of bread( like an end). The toast is always evenly toasted when I line the bread up with a silver wire end of the heating element. The space between the silver wire and the end of the slot gets no heat. Any part of the bread beyond the wire will not be toasted.

browns evenly

Finally, a toaster that browns evenly! I use the frozen setting a lot and it works great with toaster strudels and ego's. Takes the guess work out. They come out hot and browned every time. Takes up very little counter space and looks great. I would definitely recommend this toaster.
