[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When first applying it for the very first time (it's already sharpened which is a plus) it DOES smudge slightly, not on the lips but the actual pencil. The consistency on the pencil is very soft, like a buttery crayon. It's a buildable formula so I wouldn't say it's one easy application, but for those who prefer a buildable application it's better. I have hyperpigmentation on my lips so finding a nude color that matches my skin tone is very tough for me. I forgot I had this on when using the shower and scrubbing it off in the shower was pretty easy. I don't know if this will last in a purse though, it feels like body heat would melt this pencil but for simple day to day use it's pretty good!
