iLive iCP391B iPhone and iPod Clock Radio

I read the other two reviews and have to wonder if people bother exploring anything now a days. I bought the clock and needed to use it to wake up for work every day. At first I though the alarm was to quiet and couldn't get my iPod to play music for my alarm, so I just stuck with using the regular alarm. I am a light sleeper so the quiet alarm wakes me up with no problem. Now my entire house is sound proofed because I live right next door to a bar. I forgot to turn the alarm off one day and went down stairs after just a couple minutes I was trying to figure out what this anoying beeping was that I was hearing. It turned out that the alarm on this clock starts out quiet and gradually gets louder to the point that I was able to hear it on the first floor, in the back of the house (my bedroom is in the front of the house), with all the sound proofing. As far as it being mono instead of stereo well what do you expect it's a $40 alarm clock you want stereo by a $100 stereo alarm clock, I don't need the stereo in my room that's what my stereo is for. Now yes the instructions are limited but if you explore the app it's a piece of cake to figure out how to set it. Also the fact that the app allows you to put whatever picture you want as the clock background I thought was really cool my clock background is my three little girls their smiling faces is a wonderful thing to wake up to everyday. If you by this clock make sure you really explore the app and look through the settings good I'm sure you'll agree it's relatively easy to use. The reason I didn't give it a perfect score is because there is no such thing as perfect, perfection is an opinion not a fact, so I never rate anything as perfect.

I can't give this a perfect review because the alarm is very quiet, I am afraid that if I am sleeping soundly it will not wake me. The limited instructions that come with the clock do no tell you that you must set the alarm times through your iPod, or iPhone, whichever you download the app to. I will say overall it is a very nice clock.
