I was in need of a new sewing chair after using whatever I had for my entire life. I wasn't keen on spending $300 on the others so I decided to try this one. I'm extremely happy with it. It's well built and extremely comfortable plus the storage in the seat is a bonus. My only complaint is that the listing says it will extend up to 21 or 22" tall ( I forget the exact number), but it only goes to about 19" tall. It's not an issue at all for me, but if your sewing machine sits higher than mine it could be. My machine sits on a standard height sewing desk. Very pleased with this chair.
