When I brought the large, heavy box down to my office and opened it and saw all the pieces I closed the box. I set aside aside for months until my old chair died. It looked like a headache to assemble. Was i ever wrong! When the old chair gave out, I brought out the new chair, still in the box. I laid them out the parts to the chair and was pleasantly surprised at how wisely it was made and pakaged. The small parts were all labeled in a self-contained package, warious screws, screw cap covers, a handled hex wrench. And there were extra pieces included. The directions were easy. You need to pay attention to "front" on the base that attaches to the bottom cushion. Take a look at the chair cushion in that, and future pictures, and figure out which is the front of the bottom cushion. Then just align the base with the arrow facing "front". When attaching the last piece, the back of the chair, push the fabric down around the metal screw holes. That way you'll be able to see them when you line up the screws through the armrests, which is how they attach. (I'll add pics.) Once assembled (it took me 45 min, box opening to finish), this chair is wonderful. I'm not a big woman, 5'8", 140lbs, and I wondered if I ordered too big a chair. Not at all. The height is so adjustable that I can be flat-footed, or toes to the floor. And I have long legs, a 33" inseam. It rolls smoothly. The weight of this chair is a plus as I can lean over pretty far to reach for something without fear of it tilting over. It's also super comfy. I'm 70. A very young 70, but with my old chair, my back ached at the end of the day, even though I'm up and down throughout the day. Not with this new chair. And with the way the seat is made, I seem to sit up straighter as I work. If I have a complaint, it's against myself for not putting the chair together sooner!

I received the chair and assembled it as directed. You can adjust the height and tension of the chair. I have mine all the way loose so I can rock a little bit, but not much. My big complaint is the back of the chair sits at like a 90° angle, which is not comfortable and it does not adjust. If it adjusted even a little bit, I would be satisfied. I feel like I just bought this chair and I still need to buy a chair. I don’t want to disassemble and pack it all up to return it. Had I known and not already put it together, I would not have bought this chair or opened it.
