These will perform the function of protecting your pans. However, they are pretty thin and they shed a whole lot of black fibers all over the pans. So much so that you will need to wash the clean pan before you can cook with it or your food will be full of fibers. I'm going to have to try and wash these which may destroy them. I would not ever recommend or buy them again.
