This is a winner for group backpacking

The 4 liter is the best! We were out for 3 nights with 6 people and it served 90% of our water needs. Everyone pitched in and got water and easily dealt with the simple connections. The water was exceptionally clear from the river so it filtered quickly. I was with another group earlier in the summer on the Owyhee River which was a 7 day trip and we went through one filter for 7 people. It is light compared to a hand pump. Definitely a winner.

Used the Platy 4.0L Gravity Works Filter up in the High Peaks in the ADK on a three day trip. It was easy to fill from Marcy Brook which was running next to our lean to. It filters water really fast and a quick back flush kept that flow each time we refilled it. Made getting plenty of water painless. Absolutely love the product. Great for backpacking as it's lightweight.

I set camp at 10800', water was at 10000'. I would filter clean bag, fill dirty bag and hike back to camp. Quick, easy, idiot proof. Invaluable tool. I enjoy all your gear. Well thought out, made well. I look forward to more vertical and more clean water for coffee.
