Great looking and substantial headboard. The only issue we had was the holes were not aligned with our bed frame. We had to re drill the holes which was an easy task.

This headboard is beautiful! It's a soft black color and definitely elevates the room. It looks exactly like the picture! I wish I could give it 5 stars, which I would based on looks alone. But, like I read in another person's review, our queen frame (which is a nice frame from a furniture store) didn't align with the pre-drilled holes on the legs of the headboard. So, we had to drill our own. Then, the instructions indicated we should have 6 pre-drilled holes (on each side) to attach the legs to the headboard, which would have made the headboard more sturdy (and have less wobble). But, ours only had 3 pre-drilled holes on each side of the headboard to connect the legs. We didn't realize this until AFTER we'd drilled new holes so that we could attach our queen frame to the queen headboard. This headboard is too pretty for the manufacturer not to get these important structural elements right. It's too bad. But, after all that said, I'm still glad we bought the headboard. It's beautiful and you can't beat the price. If you're handy with a power drill, you'll be fine. ;-)

I love the way this headboard looks. It took a lot more assembly than what I thought it would and was some what complicated. I was missing about four screws but I don't think it affected the sturdiness.

I bought for a full bed but it didn't fit after putting it together

During a textbook installation, the mounting screws stripped out completely from their pre-drilled holes. On top of an already awful finish to the headboard. The headboard pieces arrived with chipping, and the paint finish had fallen off the cheap wood. I CANNOT imagine this lasting anymore than 1 year. The headboard mounted to the corresponding platform frame is so floppy. Feels so cheap. The matching platform frame is the exact quality as the headboard. Should have stuck to my plans of building my own.

The panel was cracked and a replacement did not come with pre drilled holes so I had to drill my own...unacceptable!! I paid for a product that should have been complete. It is bad enough for the price and that I have to assemble the product.

Cheap poorly made and screws fall out, hole had to be hand drilled as they didn't exist. Directions are not clear.

Disappointed! Not sturdy and not well made. I expected better quality from Ashley.
