Needed Patch Cord in a Hurry!

I sourced Monoprice on line when looking for data patch cords we needed in order to complete a TV hook up in a Hemo Dialysis Clinic. The pricing was great and the time it took to get the 25 patch cords was absolutely incredible. I ordered one day and it literally arrived overnight. Now that's SERVICE!

110' Cat6, exactly what I needed

It's great! Just as I expected, 100' of Category 6 Ethernet cable. And, the price was a lot better than I expected (which came out to be little over $15 USD). Keep up the great work!

Decent cable at a low cost

The cost of these cables is great and they seem to be working with no issues. My only complaint is that the jacks are not installed with the same orientation on each end. That's fine for longer cables, but with 6" cables for patch panel to switch connections, I have to twist the cables quite aggressively. I'd happily pay double for cables with no twist.

cable worked well

the cable arrived as expected and worked well. I knocked off 1 star because the connector end to connects to my laptop is really hard to remove. When I want to take my laptop on the go, I can not remove the connector and have to wait until my husband gets home to do it for me! I have not had this problem with other cables. Other than that, I love the cable!

Good Value, but poor unlocking release.

The works great, however the push-to-release lock is flaky. One time I could only get it to release by pushing VERY hard. Another time it took pushing on it with a small screwdriver. This happens on both connectors. The cable is great if you install & leave it in place. If you plan on constantly moving the cable around, pick another model.

Disappointing

Purchased 3 instead of the advertised 550Mhz the cables are printed 250Mhz. I don't care if it is insignificant I want what I paid for. They sent me 3 more cables to shut me up from complaining, Sent the exact same thing- 250Mhz. They told me the cables were incorrectly printed. Ha - they lost a customer.

Bad retention clips

The cable is fine, full GigE transfer speeds as expected. But the RJ45 retention clips bend in the middle, which doesn't allow for the latch to disengage. I had to cut away the guard and use a toothpick to disengage the clip so I could remove it from my laptop. Upon inspection, I could see a hairline fracture along the middle of the lever that prevented it from bending appropriately to release the cable. Both RJ45 ends were fractured, first use out of the package. I filed down the corners that clip into the socket so it takes less to depress the lever to the point where it disengages from the socket. So it works much better now, until the clip breaks off entirely of course. I will use it in a more permanent installation so that won't be an issue.

Maybe I got a bad cable.... Connectors are TERRIBLE

I have had nothing but good luck with monoprice cables before but this one is terrible so far... The cable itself is nice, but the connectors are garbage. BOTH ends have gotten stuck in both my Ubiquiti switch and several of my computers. To the point where I had to take a small screw driver to slide in and free them... I had to completely cut the ends off and retip them with quality connectors.

Poorly constructed piece of crap

I plugged it into my iMac to test the connection to the router. It seemed to work. Then I tried to remove it from the iMac to put back the original cable. I could not remove it from the Ethernet port on the iMac because the little prong that you press down on to release the connector from the Ethernet port was so short it barely protruded outside the Ethernet port. After about 20 minutes and the assistance of a screwdriver, I was finally able to disconnect the cable from the iMac.
