Parboiling is a process that enriches rice kernels with nutrients stored in its inedible hull. The grain is soaked, steamed, and dried before being hulled. As some fiber gets lost because the hull is removed during the process, large amounts of Manganese, Selenium, Copper, Niacin and Protein are still retained within the kernel.
