This Mainstay can opener is a thousand times better than the Hamilton Beach/Pioneer Woman opener that I just threw out. The Mainstay works with no sweat! I don't know how long the plastic handle will last but so far so good. I will never buy another Hamilton Beach, that thing caused me so much trouble.

I really like the price, and the fact that not only is it a can opener; it's a knife sharpener and has a bottle opener. I'll be using this a lot when I move, which I am definitely looking forward to, considering. WORKS WELL FOR THE PRICE

This purchase is actually for a friend who told me that she's never replaced her old electric can opener. She had a stroke a number of years ago and said using a manual opener is difficult for her. I chose this model as I had purchased one for myself recently and was happy with it.
