This is the third or maybe even fourth Lightning that I have purchased. One for me and the others for gifts to family members. When they first came out they were listed as $100, but when the price lowered to around $80 I bought the first one and then the price went even lower. Now, the price was just over $40 and is a very good buy in my estimation since it can quickly measure temperatures when probing food, especially meat and fish.

This is the 3rd time I've purchased this ThermoPro Lightning thermometer. Got mine over 2 years ago and purchased another two recently for each of my children (families of their own now) so I don't have to loan mine anymore. It's built like a tank, is amazingly fast, accurate, display rotates to be read in either hand at any angle and has auto shut off if you forget to close it so the battery lasts forever. It' an excellent product. If you're in the market for a thermometer, don't hesitate on this one !
