STANLEY 6 Gallon 4 Peak HP Poly Wet Dry Vacuum SL18116P

I am a divorced 63-year-old grandmother who lives alone and struggles to maintain my home and property. Lately I had been considering getting a shop vacuum as I have had a couple of water issues with my washing machine, to say nothing about spider webs and dirt in the garage. The Stanley shop vacuum was what I needed. The assembly was minimal requiring only attaching the four caster wheels. The unit was packaged very securely and there was no damage when it arrived. The attachments that came with the unit is what you would expect, including a garden hose adapter that was not listed in the description. Since having to use a shop vacuum is a new experience for me, I was not sure how the garden hose adapter would be used. After some research I discovered that instead of having to try and dump a full tank of water, all you need to do is attach the adapter to the tank, attach a garden hose and let the tank drain through the hose. This feature is especially important to me as I am not capable of handling a heavy tank of water. My first use of the vacuum was on the carpet in my car. The suction is extremely powerful, like what you would see at the car wash, but without the cost of constantly putting quarters in the machine. The extension wands came in extremely handy as I could reach all the way into the back of my SUV and clean where I couldn't before, and the crevice tool was able to reach into very tight places. I also had to test it out on the spider webs in the garage and the vacuum made quick work of those along with blowing leaves out of the garage. I am extremely happy with this Stanley shop vacuum, seems to be well built, has a lot of power, and should last a very long time. This is exactly what this grandmother needed!

I had so much fun cleaning my garage with this product! I do a lot of DIY, woodworking, in my garage and it's always a mess from my power tools. It came fully assembled at the factory, ready for use when taken out of the carton!! First, I really appreciate all the useful, different tools that come with this wet/dry vac, and they all have a place on the vac itself to be stored! There is a 10 piece accessories kit that is included. The 4 wheels on the bottom are of great quality, and move and swivels in all directions, making it so easy to maneuver when using. Theach I first used it on my work table. It easily vacuumed up all the wood particles, so I started vacuuming under the table, on my shelves, everywhere! This vac is so well built. There are so many great uses for this vac. If you have kids that spill their drinks, you can vacuum it up in seconds! This happens almost daily with my grandchildren! It holds up to 10 gallons of liquid. I wish I had this when the bath overfilled and spilled onto the tile! To empty the liquid, there is a plug on the bottom side, you just remove the cap, and it empties easily. The cartridge filter can be used with wet or dry cleanups. You can remove the cartridge filter for cleaning easily under a faucet or with a hose. My next venture with this unit is to use it as a blower, can't wait to try that! Of course my car will be happy to get vacuumed easily and get into all the crevices. Bottom line is that this will be a great staple for your garage and home. No more taking your regular vacuum out of the house to use in the garage. Just pull out your Stanley wet/dry vac.
