Delta Children Madrid 4-in-1 Convertible Crib with Serta Mattress Value Pack (Bianca White)

This is one nice setup for a crib. We really like the way this crib looks and functions. Once we got this in the mail we proceeded to set it up. Please be aware that after you unpack the first level of parts there is another section in the box under a cardboard cover with more parts. Setup of the crib was very easy. The only thing we found to be a bit frustrating was that two of the holes for the top rail where it connected to the side of the crib were drilled a bid off. So after a bit of brain storming and a few tight twists of the screw we got it together. The crib seems very well constructed and very sturdy once put together. This crib also claims to be able to be put together in 4 different configurations. You do have to purchase different parts to make the toddler and twin beds. I don’t know that we will do that due to this being a good crib to use for more children when they come along. Great crib and very easy to setup, other than the one snag. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a quality product.

This item comes shipped in a big box inside of an even bigger box. Assembly was pretty straightforward. You will want to have a screwdriver available, but most of the work is done with an allen key. The screws, bolts, and other pieces were in a cardboard thing that separated the pieces into different cups. Each was perfectly labeled, and the directions were easy to follow. It took me about an hour to put together, but there were a few parts where I had to have help to hold one end while I put together the other. Some of the steps were easier to flip the crib upside down and work on it that way. There were also two parts where the pieces do not align. One was a screw on the bottom railing (but it's underneath so it's not noticeable), and the other was on the top. We got it to work, but I would not try to disassemble it again once I'm done. The crib itself is beautiful wood. I had a metal crib with my first, and this one looks and feels so much nicer. It's not like the cheap particle board that chips at the slightest touch. I'll admit I probably knocked a few of the pieces into each other when taking them out of the box, but the wood doesn't seem to be any worse for the wear. It has a very smooth finish and looks lovely. The inside of the crib adjusts to three different heights. In my picture I have it set to the middle setting. Once it's put together it is very sturdy, and does not wiggle at all. It does have the option to convert to a daybed, but if you wanted the shorter guard rail you would have to buy that separately. If you set it to the lowest setting for the day bed, you may be fine without the guard rail. It is the same thing with the "conversion: to a full size bed. You could use the back as a headboard but you'd have to purchase rails. Overall, a very beautiful piece to add to a nursery.
