The color is a beautiful brown. which goes well with light colors like beidge in your kitchen .There is no smell from the garbage and it holds alot you must think why did she buy two. This trashcan is well worth the money if you have something to throw out and you don't wanna touch the lid. All you gotta do is push the little step thing on the bottom and it lifts it for you. It even has a little spacer so you don't have your lid too close to the wall.
