I had a can similar to this one by Simple Human for about 25 years. A plastic part failed which made that can unusable. The new can I just got by Simple Human I notice has replaced that plastic part with metal. I love this can.

Works and looks great!
Fluid motion, sturdy, cleans up perfectly. The simplehuman liners are easy and sturdy, but store-bought 13 gal kitchen trash bags also work well (we've used both). Our last simplehuman step can was a hand-me-down that we used heavily for 16 years; it's been retired to the laundry room, but still works well after all these years and 4 interstate moves. I look forward to this one also lasting for years and years!
