The color is a beautiful brown. which goes well with light colors like beidge in your kitchen .There is no smell from the garbage and it holds alot you must think why did she buy two. Good trash can. We had this same one for over 10 years and it worked great before the lid wouldn't stay put. I like the soft open lid and the fact that it will stay open when manually opened. Very convenient. The bags also stay tight in there. I don't think we have had a single bag slip out in 10 years.
