Ready to use out of the box. Putting it together took less than a few minutes. Suction is perfect! Cleaned my living room. It pulled up so much dirt; dirt I did not realized was buried deep in the carpet! I love it! I have a 12 month grandchild and was very pleased that it picked up all the dirt and dust allergens so that it would not affect the baby! That was my main purpose for busy. Had to shop for a new vacuum. Came across the mainstays and immediately passed it up for a better known brand. I read the reviews, they were mixed. I read the reviews for the mainstays. They were fairly positive. I decided to give the mainstays vacuum a chance, and I’m glad I did. It is very light, smaller. I plugged it in and got started. I have 3 kids and several cats and dogs. Vacuuming is very necessary here lol. The suction power was more than I expected. It is very easy to handle and maneuver. I am so pleased that I decided to buy this vacuum and save 20/30 dollars for the same effectiveness of the name brands. My carpet is clean and dirt free. When needed, I will purchase this brand again.
