I'd tried a different water fountain that had an attachment where the water came out, and my cats would not drink out of it. This fountain, without said attachment, is perfect, and my cats love it! I like that you can change the way the water flows as well! It's a little on the small side, but I like that, because it will encourage me to clean it more often. Replacement filters are not difficult to find; they just might be under a different brand name. Luckily, the extra filters I'd purchased for my previous fountain are the same that work for this fountain!

I have been taking the fountain apart every two days to check for biofilm, then emptying all water and refilling it. So far, zero slime!! I have one cat who loves drinking from a fountain. and a 2nd cat who is outdoors with his own water that rarely catch sharing the fountain. This fountain was fairly priced and came with 8 filters and 8 foams. I will be buying a 2nd fountain by the end of the year so that I can rotate them in the dishwasher. This is SO MUCH HEALHIER AND EASIER than any of the all plastic fountains I have used. Do not hesitate to buy one!!
