I'd been begging my wife to get a soup ladle for a while. She always said "we have one," showing me a plastic ladle with holes in it, I guess to drain off celery or onions, or pieces of Chicken to put in er plate? But the soup drained back into the pot! When delivered I saw that they were smaller than I wanted, but they were certainly the proper shape with no holes for draining. I washed them and put them in our utility drawer. Turned out they weren't so small as not to be effective. So I used them from time to time. My wife discovered them coming out of the dishwasher a few days later. She smiled, asked me about them, so I told her what I had done. The following week she complimented me on choosing them. She had used one in a gravy dish, and a soup too.
