First, it's my favorite color. Then, it arrived, and I was impressed. It's not a cheaply made butter dish. It's heavier glass. The lid fits perfectly. The only thing I don't like is that the butter knife just sits on top of the lid. I would like to have seen it 'snap' in place. Overall, still impressed and happy with my purchase.

Love this butter dish w/lid %26 knife. Discreet, classy, looking, and very functional. I use real butter so it sits out on counter and seals very well. Wash ceramic portion %26 knife in dishwasher but not wooden top with silicone seal. Thinking about buying a few for gifts at Christmas.
