This bread box is deep enough to hold all of my breads (loaf, english muffins, hotdog/ burger buns, %26 rolls) without crushing any of them, yet doesn't interfere with my very limited counter space for preparing meals. If you buy Pepperage Farms, Oro-Wheat, or similarly sized loaves (including home baked, of course!), the loafs can be stood on end, leaving more than half of the box available for tortillas, hamburger or hot dog buns, etc. The design of the box is pleasing. The metal box with a varnished wood top is quite attractive. The construction of the box is good; no rough edges or flawed welds.
