replacement for older model...this model has to charge on a charge station.. old one the charger plugged right into handle, not crazy happy with this one, but only use it to vacuum kicked out kitty litter from litter pans. suction is good and has an extending vacuum neck, also comes with a small brush head that slides onto existing head instead of switching heads.

I had a Black and Decker hand held vacuum just like this one, it lasted about 4 years with constant usage for picking up food on the floor, cleaning cat hair and using it on my cat to get loose hair off him and he really enjoys it when we use it on him. I use it to clean my car inside from seats to floor mats and carpet in my car. I also use it on my bathroom rugs in between shaking them. It is really a quick grab and use vacuum, hope it last as long as the other one so far doing a great job. Give it a 5 star and highly recommend it.
