Fantastic Gel Cleaner

This deep cleansing Gel Brush Cleanser from Real Techniques will help extend the life of the brushes you love so much! This exclusive gel formula harnesses the power of a concentrate, is alcohol-free and non-drying. It has also been proven to effectively remove nearly all makeup residue and has been dermatologist tested for gentleness. The concentrate gel allows you to create a lather to get those brushes squeaky clean and as good as new! Recommended for weekly use The directions state to wet your brush then apply the gel, and swirl it however if you have foundation based on silicone I will recommend to not wet the brush but rinse after cleaning with the pure gel, water and silicone does not match well together and it will be hard to clean the brush, for any other use as directed, also make sure the brushes dry upside down to avoid any liquid entering the base and dissolve the glue that hold your brush hair . If you brush is dried out or high with foundation build , you may go with the cleaning process twice for crystal clean result. The gel cleanser have slight floral smell , I am using disposable glove when cleaning the brushes , however the product is dermatologist tested for gentleness. My unbiased review was based on my true experience with this product.

Great Cleanser

Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel, 5.1 oz is the first makeup brush cleanser I have ever used and I have to say I am quite pleased with it. I didn't realize how much built up bronzer and eye shadow I had in these brushes. I usually just dust off on a paper towel. With Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel all you do is wet your hand and squeeze a dime size dollop into the palm of your hand. After quickly running the tip of your brush thru some warm water Swirl the brush thru the gel in the palm of your hand for about 30 seconds. Then do a quick rinse of the brush again. (Make sure not to go up too high on your brush with the water though because that is where the glue is that holds the brush and handle together.) I then took a piece of cardboard and hung the brushes to dry (with the bristles facing downward) and after couple hours when they were all dry I just double checked by lightly swiping on a dry paper towel and no water came off. I saw a difference right away when I used the eye shadow brushes. Before where the color came off at times in muted tones because of using several colors now it was a nice clean effect. The bronzer brush worked great also. You can watch a quick video on YouTube "Real Techniques" and get great tips not only about this cleanser but makeup tips etc. I am very happy I had the opportunity to review this product and found it to be very good and would recommend it.

I loved this Shampoo! It was so soft and smells soo good! It cleans really well and doesn't clump the bristles! Definitely will buy again! And cheaper than most of the stuff you'd find in Sephora and Ulta! Great alternative!
