Over the last five years, we've always had rain barrels to catch rainwater and moisture Yes, overtime they said to go bad but these ones that we purchased have lasted nearly 10 years. The most that goes out is brass knob where the water comes out other than that we've always had really no bad experiences with these highly recommended.
