Oneida Stainless Steel Mandoline with Adjustable Blades, 2.32 lbs

I have always wanted an Oneida Stainless Steel Mandolin, but I was honestly a little leary of "how sharp" they are. My fears have been put to rest. Yes, the Oneida Stainless Steel Mandolin is sharp, but my fingers are protected when I am using the food holder (and keeping my other hand on the top of the mandolin). I am impressed with how easily the mandolin cuts. I had a little difficulty changing the adjustment wheel, but realized you need to push, then turn--problem solved. I was able to slices potatoes quickly! I enjoy potatoes on the grill and having them sliced (put in tin foil with butter/seasoning) speeds up the cooking time. I can't wait to make fries! If you'd like easier prep for your meals, consider getting an Oneida Stainless Steel Mandolin--I think you will be glad you did.

This mandolin slicer is a great addition to our kitchen gadgets and tools! I've been looking for something like this for slicing veggies, so I was very happy to give this one a try! The hand protector is a must have, because no one wants grated fingers! Yikes! My husband and I like to live a healthy lifestyle, so I use veggies as alternatives to pastas a lot. I have used this to cut zucchini into thin slices for a lasagna. This is very handy and easy to use. I'm definitely not a cooking expert and I figured it out quickly. It's also rather easy to clean, a mild dish soap and you're good to go. I keep it stored in the box for now. It's rather large, but we found space in our cabinet. Since it's a frequently used kitchen appliance in our home, I don't mind. I think the mandolin is worth the price, and a must have in my opinion. I am satisfied with the product and I would recommend it. It's sleek design is also attractive and I have gotten compliments on it. In fact, I will be purchasing one for my mother! Good choice for any kitchen!
