My husband and I were looking for a new sofa that could also double as a sleeping space. We have large families and often host, so we're constantly in need of more beds. I was a little wary of this sofa at first, because in my college days, futons were notorious for being cramped. I'm delighted to say I needn't have worried! This piece is comfortable as both a place to sit and a place to sleep. Hubby and I tried it out after assembly, and two grown adults can fit together on it. You won't have a ton of elbow room, but it's doable, and it looks super stylish with the back flat. In the past, we've assembled everything from platform beds to entertainment consoles, so we were hopeful putting this sofa together would be easy. Well, it was a breeze! The pieces were intuitive, and the instructions were clear. It took us maybe half an hour, and that included unboxing it. It's lightweight enough to be easily transportable, so if you need to assemble it in one room and then move it, you should have no problem. This may not be the case for everyone, but ours arrived in two boxes. So, if you receive half a sofa, don't panic like we did and think something went wrong. The other half is likely on the way! I appreciate that they did that. I feel so bad for the mail carriers who have to lug whole sofas around. We bought this for functional purposes, obviously, but I'm also in love with the design. The material feels nice and isn't coarse or hot. We live in a very warm climate, so it was super important to me that this futon slept "cool." I love how sleek and modern it looks. The foam seats are comfortable and don't sink in too much. Our older relatives will have an easy time getting up and down when sitting/standing. No creaky knees here. To Summarize: Pros - comfortable, affordable, sturdy, stylish, easy to assemble, arrived on time, in good condition, and the company that made it included their contact information should we encounter any issues. That was a really nice touch, in my book. Furniture makers seem to make it hard to contact them on purpose, but this company is obviously more reputable. Cons - I personally don't care for how every seat is individually moveable, but that's because I'm a klutz. I just know I'm going to jam a finger in this thing. But that's a price I'm willing to pay, and you may love being able to adjust it. In short, this is an excellent purchase for the money, and we would buy it again.
