This bed looks exactly as shown, and is pretty easy to assemble. The package was kind of heavy for me (66 year old woman), so I had to open it and carry the parts upstairs in a couple of trips. WOW!!! Excellent packaging. Even the foam packing was wrapped in plastic, which stops all of the pieces of foam from flying all over the place. Instructions were fantastic. Very easy to put together. Solid wood. Nothing cheap here. Well worth the price. Took 1 hr to unpack, make sure all pieces were there, and to put together. If you are wondering whether to buy this, BUY IT!!! 5 Stars all the way around. No surprises, just a solid platform bed.
