Bought for my brother who's air conditioning unit was off for several days while being fixed in sunny Florida!!! The cats found it mighty traumatic (lol); however, it cooled the entire house!!! It is far from whisper quiet as advertised, but my brother is mostly deaf already so it was mainly just for circulation of air through the house!! He uses it now in the garage while working on cars/trucks, lawn maintenance supplies, and in his covered patio when he cooks, hosts, etc. needless to say, it's extremely affordable, beyond useful, extremely versatile and we are happy with it!! Beast! I bought this to replace a plastic Lasko fan of the same type because its motor was starting to fail. All I can say is his thing has some power. It's "low" setting is as powerful as the the Lasko's "high" setting. I almost wish it was a little less powerful, but I'm not complaining. If you are someone who likes the sound of a fan while you sleep, this is the fan for you! Also, it was extremely easy ro put together. It comes in two pieces and they just snap together.
