One of the best
I bought one because my old Jansport bag was getting worn out. This backpack is worth the price. I like the lightness of the backpack which allows me to put in many items without weighing down the bag and making it heavy. I always had a problem with my wallet making my bags really heavy even when it is the only item in the bag. But I didn't have that problem with the Kanken. As someone who has struggled with back pain since I was child due to heavy backpacks and some minor car accidents, this backpack has now become my favorite due to being easy on my back. I'm thinking of buying the bigger version of the bag in the future.
I'm 6'2" 280lbs and I love this little bag.
Guys don't be intimidated by this small bag. You can carry one too. I've needed a bag to carry a cache of things when I take my kids to the pool, or the zoo, or some other place. I tried many fanny packs and sling bags and they all fell short. So I picked up a Känken Mini at my local outfitter and I couldn't be happier. It came with a butt pad for sitting and the strap system is so clever. Get yourself one and be happy.
I love my new Mini
Bought the Mini as a replacement for my poor old battered handbag. And used the 'create your own' to personalise it. I have to say, the colours in real life are even better than they looked in the creator. I am so pleased with my new bag. I just wish I could find a bottle that would fit in the side pocket (yes, I know it's for umbrellas, but I have two pockets and one umbrella. So a bottle would be great for the other). The fabric is nice and water repellant, as I found out today when it was snowing; and whilst the bag is small, it is big enough to fit all the cra... useful things that I carry around with me. I also use it to carry my iPad mini, which is a great fit for just sliding into the foam seat-pad pocket, as the pad provides some protection against anything knocking my bag from that side. If I had one issue, it would be that I am very used to having multiple little internal pockets in my old bag. But I got around that by purchasing one of the Kanken Gear Pockets. However, I do wish they made an organiser for the mini, and not just the full sized bag. But overall, I am super happy with my new bag. And am thinking about getting a full sized one in the same colours.
