If you purchase this, you have to follow directions when setting up. After unpacking and placing it where you want it, it has to sit for 4 hours before you plug it in. During shipping, these things are tossed around and the 4 hour wait allows the refrigerant to completely settle. Plugging it in before the refrigerant settles can cause it not to cool properly. We followed directions, put some bag juice, water and Cokes in it and set the temperature to 40°. It does take time to cool down . This was at 4pm. When we woke up the next morning at 4:30am, the temp had lowered to 40° and everything inside was cold. Not cool but cold. We only had this one day but everything is working as it should and could not be happier with it. It has a blue light inside that looks pretty cool. The noise is not too loud. We dont even hear it unless we are standing by it. The most important thing is to let it sit for 4 hours before plugging it in and allowing up to 24 hours to completely cool down. It didnt take that long for us (just over night).
