I've been using this microwave oven for about 30 days. It's been an adjustment for me because my previous microwave was a bit different. I had it for about 7 years b4 I needed to replace it. The oven door had a handle to open it. This new microwave has a lock feature where I have to press it to get it open. It's easy to operate. The button functions are different, too. However, I like the new features and am adapting quickly to how to operate this new microwave. I'm 70 years old, and I cook exclusively with a microwave. I almost never use my stovetop or regular oven. Anything that I eat is totally microwaveable. Most food items come with microwave instructions, too. I also use an electric kettle and Kruieg coffee maker. I'm enjoying this new microwave and use it every day to cook my meals. Since I'm not a huge fan of cooking, this oven is very convenient and has plenty of optimal cooking temperatures and options. At my age, I need convenience. I recommend this microwave oven cuz it is easy to operate and was cost effective. I used my Walmart membership and had it delivered to my door. The young man who delivered also carried the oven inside, opened it up, and lifted it onto my counter. (I've been a Walmart member for 3 years now and I've saved time. money and car maintenance.) My hope is that this microwave oven lasts as long as my last one. Time will test that. I really love that Walmart provides competitive prices, very afgordable products, great customer service for items I use every day. I highly recommend this microwave oven.

I purchased this Hamilton Beach microwave because I wanted something that wouldn't take over my countertop — 0.9 cu ft is perfect. It's slightly larger than my last microwave, which I actually appreciate now because it comfortably fits a full dinner plate. At the same time, it's not so big that it dominates my small kitchen space. The 900 watts was a huge selling point. You rarely find that much power in a microwave under 1 cubic foot, so it heats quickly and evenly without cold spots. Aesthetically, I love the design. The offset door — where the glass window is flush but the buttons sit slightly recessed — gives it a modern, almost upscale look. The matte surface on top adds to that sleek feel. I could see how someone used to traditional handles might prefer a different style, but to me it's a beautiful change. One thing to note: there is a child lock that's enabled by default. They did put a sticker on the front to mention it, but I still needed to flip through the manual to figure out exactly how to unlock it. Not a big deal, and honestly it gave me a chance to learn a few other features. All in all, this microwave checks every box for me — compact yet powerful, stylish without being flashy, and very easy to use once you get past the initial setup. Highly recommend if you're looking to upgrade without overwhelming your space.
