Time to pick up Halloween cobwebs! Lol ! Seriously though this is my second one and my first one lasted for YEARS! ( about 7 to 8 I believe) but totally my fault last one didn't last. I normally never had luck with vacuum cleaners had to buy one every 6 months to a year but this one right here if you actually take care of it, it will last for a long time and well worth the price! I have three dogs and a cat and these pets SHED horribly especially my dogs two cane Corso's and imagine this: an Alaskan Malamute! Now that's a lot of picking up hair and dirt! I don't have stairs but my mobile home has the unusual flooring now ! ( Not proud of it but eventually hoping to find a bigger place!) we have chip board! Thankfully for this vacuum, it helps even with pieces that I don't notice so we don't get a splinter! Phew! Now kids and a soon to be husband… so sooo much things fall on the floor and after I think I have picked it all up before vacuuming, NOPE , thankfully it won't clog and if it does easy to fix, not the vacuums fault, but my own , anyways it's a see through empty ( bag less) container and you can see what it was and completely easy to dump out or reach in and take out anything that you might not have wanted to get up in there. I have a crushing spine and deteriorating discs in my back, so it is very lightweight for a vacuum cleaner! The only bad thing I have to say is I just wish that with as many animals that I have and as much dirt, I have to pick up that the container was much larger, but, it works, so I can't really complain too much about it. The second thing I really wish that the upholstery piece came with that, you know like the one for a couch or chairs stuff like that or heck, even maybe a cat tree, it does not come with it. I believe you have to buy a separate. But that's OK. You get what you get for the money that you spent and for the price of this vacuum cleaner and the years it will last if you take care of it properly, I will continue to buy this one ( if I need to buy one) because I can reach everywhere I need to :above me ,under places, around things, and it is really easy to carry along if needed to be carried!
