There’s several steps to putting it together but if you have a helper that you work well with there shouldn’t be any problems. My husband assembled it as I read the instructions. It’s a perfect addition to our living room. I used it to store lots of extra blankets and also the couch pillows when not in use. Helps make it not look so cluttered. I recommend if you’re wanting a nice way to store things and also have a table as well. I love that one side pulls up as a heightened table
