A pan that will last

This is the only 9x13 pan you will ever need. It really will last a lifetime! I wish I would've gotten one sooner! It is way more sturdy than the non cast iron pans. It has nice handles for easily transferring it to and from the oven. It came pre seasoned and ready to wash and bake in. I made a wonderful cornbread in this pan. It came out clean and easy and did not stick at all. It seems to bake way more even than my other 9x13 pans and I don't have to worry about a non stick coating coming off in my food. It is simple to wash, but since it is cast iron you should hand wash, promptly dry and coat with a thin layer of oil. I couldn't be happier with this pan!

Easy to clean after use

Where has this cast iron casserole pan been all my life! I am really enjoying using it. I own a few other Lodge frying pans and this one as well doesn't disappoint. It's quite large, measures 9x13, with a handle on each end, which makes it easier to pickup and carry, they are also wide enough that I can fit my hands with pot holders on. Made with iron, it comes pre seasoned with 100% natural vegetable oil and ready to use, but I did season it with a couple more coats of oil in the oven to help with making it non stick. One of the best features of this pan is that since it has a nice weight to it, the heat is distributed evenly throughout, and foods come out with the prettiest color of crust, without any extra effort. It's the perfect size to cook so many dishes and I have quite a few favorites so far. Some are; roasts, lasagna, cinnamon rolls, and of course it's spectacular for making cornbread. Cleaning it is real simple. Just use hot water with a cast iron scrubber. To keep it seasoned; after washing, dry throughly, pass a little cooking oil with a paper towel, and then it's ready to store. Just remember never to use dish soap on cast iron. I know that with proper care this pan will last me for many years.

Great Casserole Pan

I just received a set of Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Cookware. The Casserole dish measures 9 inches by 13 inches and about 2 and 1/4 inches deep. Cast Iron Cookware is slightly heavy but will last a lifetime. Most of us older people have been around Cast Iron items all of our life and just know that food always tastes better when made in them. This Casserole Pan has a handle on each end that makes it easy to get out of the oven. Great cakes are also made in these pans and that is what I will be using mine for most of the time. This Set is already seasoned with oil to make it ready for use. I just spray mine with a light coat of cooking spray to insure the food does not stick. Easy clean up by hand washing , rinsing, and hand drying. I do like Cast Iron and will recommend it.
