My husband accidentally left his cane in the trash room at the end of our floor area where we live in a 5 story apartment building. He didn't realize it until the next day so the cleaning team who empties the recyclable bins every day might have thought that it was suppose to be disposed of because when my husband realized he forgot it and went down to retrieve it the next day, it was gone.
