This is the best pet gate. My dog has anxiety issues and can't stand being alone. With this gate, she can see me and can't jump over it so when I'm in the bed room or kitchen or a room she is not supposed to be in, she's not constantly barking trying to locate me. It was easy to install. Fits in the door frame snug, she can't push it down or get it to open. It's great for toddlers too My Grandchildren can't reach it to open it either. It's made of real metal; heavy and secure. This is the best gate I've tried.

I raise standard-sized Golden Bernedoodles. One male, in particular, loves to plow through doors and open the way for the rest to explore restricted areas of the house, creating quite a wake in their path! He is able to open closed doors (with round knobs). I've tried standard gates and retractable gates, all to no avail. They can jump over, push through, or pull them down. This is the first gate with the height and strength to stop them. I wish it were a little stronger, but then, the price would be higher. All- in-all, it's got my 5 stars. I'm actually considering ordering another one.

Prefect for keeping pets and kids in or out! The installation was extremely easy, I did it by myself with the extensions and extra rods in a basement hallway in less than 30 minutes. It looks great and is much sturdier than a regular baby gate, which our small pit mix had figured out to push over with her paw. She has not even attempted to move this. She would have to take a running start to even make it budge a little, and even then I doubt it would move. My kids are only 5 feet tall, so slightly shorter than the gate but they can open and close it with no problem. I really like that it automatically closes unless you open it to 90 degrees and then it stays open. It opens/swings both ways and looks great.
