While tannins are not harmful to your health, they are not aesthetically pleasing and can range from a light yellow color to a dark tea color. As a matter of fact, tannin is what gives your tea and coffee its dark color To keep costs down, most people use a system that combines tannin specific resin with standard softening resin. These combo systems provide all the benefits of a tannin filter with the softening ability of a water softener. The lower cost of softening resin also provides a lower price than the tannin only systems. Controlled by the low cost Fleck 5600sxt, this system provides durability and efficiency in an economical package. The 5600sxt control head is metered, meaning it measures the amount of water used and regenerates only as needed
