It was very difficult to assemble everything, my husband did it in 4 days, by himself. The instructions are not great, he also had to google a bunch of stuff or watch videos on youtube. Most murphy beds are very expensive, do $500 for this one is not bad at all. Most important thing is that you save a lot of space. Initially I was worried that the bed frame itself, it's not very sturdy and it will break. Nothing happened so far. We had a guest recently and they slept well. If you are okay with spending a lot of time assembling it, I would recommend it, it's perfect if you want to save space.

As others stated, there's a lot of pieces and it takes time but it's not too difficult. The pictures show where most parts go but watch the alignment and look ahead to see how some parts are placed. Watch for pre-marked holes for the shelf hinges, they go outside and are on the bottom of the center door pieces. Pictures don't show this. I purposely assembled it a few hours over a couple days to avoid frustration and that worked well.

Arrived quickly. Sturdy construction. Several panels were scratched before they arrived. Not sure if it happened during shipping, packing or manufacturing. It was pretty easy to put together, although a couple of steps in instructions were unclear. If you are mechanically and structurally inclined, you can figure it out. All in all, it is very sturdy and supports a queen sized memory foam mattress very well. I do recommend. It is a good value for the money and very attractive once installed.
