The assembly instructions are simple and easy to follow, but it is a 2 person assembly project. It's very sturdy, the higher weight bearing is definitely true and allows me to lay next to my kids without the bed falling apart, which I love. the ladder has flat steps instead of rounded bars so its easier for kids to climb. it's perfect and a great value price.

putting it together was a bit of a challenge,would recommend 2 people. bought for my youngest 2 grandkids, they LOVE it! great price, seems sturdy- time will tell. I especially like that each bunk has both head and foot boards. just personal opinion on that, alot of bunkbeds don't have one or either.
