Shop Vac 582-14-00 14 Gallon 6 PHP Wet/Dry Pump Vacuum

I bought this to pump out floodwater in my basement from an overflowing outside drain. And then I used it to pump out the drain itself every few hours so the basement didn't flood again. The pump had no problem moving water up 6ft to ground level and 50ft out into the street. During a week when the whole town was flooding this vac saved me a huge amount of stress and work. It has a couple of little quirks (deduct one star). The vacuum can work faster than the pump, so it's important to read the instructions on letting the pump catch up. And it would be nice if it had a transparent panel to show the water level, but I found I could judge how full it was by tilting it slightly and feeling the weight. Overall this vac is well worth the money, and it was easy to assemble. I will find a lot of other uses for it, too.
