"puffy" Pillow for XL crate

We had a hard time finding the right size cushion for our dog's fancy XL living room crate. THis one is the correct legth and width but a bit too "puffy" We are trying it as is but may take out some of the foam pieces as suggested in the instructions if it doesn't compress a bit.
