These tender, triangular-shaped biscuits are served piping hot from the oven, smeared with whipped butter and tart raspberry jam. Many a faithful fairgoer has stood in line, sometimes for hours, to sample a bite of these delicious attractions. Fisher Fair Scones were served at the San Francisco World's Fair in 1915. Following their debut, Fisher Scones gained popularity and a loyal following throughout the Northwest. Today we invite you to share this recipe with family and friends. It's a tradition to be enjoyed year-round! Before You Begin: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. You Will Need: mix - full package, cold water - 1/2 cup. 1. Combine scone mix and water in a bowl and stir until dough forms. 2. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and kneed 5 to 6 times and then form into 2 balls. 3. Flatten each ball into approx a 4 inch circle with the center slightly higher than the outer edges. 4. Cut each circle into 4 wedges. 5. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. 6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: Makes 8 scones. Serve scones warm from the oven, split halfway and filled with butter and jam or preserves. Contains: wheat, milk and soy.
