great fot hot dips
its kinda weird that there's no temp control or on/off switch but we did what it said & put spinach & artichoke dio straight into & today we tried it with cheese dip.... just put it in cold & let heat up itself, took about 45 mins & then put on table to dip nachos in. dips stay hot till scoffed without being plugged in (as v short cord) & it still stops dips congealing as they cool. a handy item i have wanted for ages but no temp control is a bit irritating but still very useable. we love it! got black friday for $3.44
