This is the perfect size for people who live alone. I divide my recipies into 3 or 4 portions and place each portion into a zip lock freezer bag. The freezer bag is placed inside the porcelain crock pot. Then, they are placed in the freezer. This ensures the frozen portion fits easily in the porcelain crock pot when you are ready to eat the meal at some point in the future.

I had set it to Slow cook time for 9 hours with chuck roast beef and Vegetables. Yes, it cooked and it so tasty and hot and good and 3 Quart last me all day long. This 3 Quart can be for two-person.
