I bought it because my old binders weren't large enough to hold my video game notes (the things I look up online for times I can't go online) general notes (I only clearly remember things tied to strong emotions and everything else is hit or miss so I keep extensive notes on what I want to remember) and my dream journal (I dream nearly every night during some naps and once in awhile even daydream; I journal my favorites). I love the color and how much it holds. Time will tell if the rings hold up well with use. Do need to get some extra accessories as my old binder was a zipper one that had storage for writing instruments some small Velcro pockets for things like erasers lead refills etc. and pockets to store smaller papers like cards and bills. I need to add a pencil pouch and a pocket to hold the smaller papers. I also need a clipboard since the cover of the binder is pebbled it gives that appearance to my handwriting which most people thing is beautiful.

It looks really big. But trust me, it's needed, especially if your child has a lot of classes and doesn't want the big heavy bachpack.
