There are two outlet plugs, one in each end, meaning I can control temperature for half part of the blanket and my husband can control the other part. We bought this for a very cold camping trip to use with a portable charging station. it woeked well, lasting up to 4 hours. I searched a lot of reviews, this one kept us warm in 32 degree camping. We had LOTS of layered blankets, but in the moddle of the night when temperatures hit 32 degrees, we turned this on and kept toasty. you can feel the wires, sure, but it didnt bother us. plus the blanket in general is super soft and warm. The cordd is detachable so we use it as a regular blanket often.
