These placemats are so thick and can be used for placemats or heat mats for hot pans. I am really happy with the quality and manufacturing. They seem to be well made and put together well. They come in a nice tied up package and ready to use. They can go with any décor and color in your kitchen since they are a neutral color. They have a nice, braided design and definitely a farm type feeling. They are easy to wipe clean and let dry in the sun. Getting them does not seem to stain them so far. They keep their shape and look since they are so thick and durable. I like to change out my placemats often which gives a fresh vibe in the dining room.
