A good lamp that falls short

I will give credit where it's due, I like this lamp in general. The height is easy to adjust, its VERY bright and also beautifully dim, the smooth transition between brightness settings is nice and smooth, the temperatures are very appropriate, not too orange/red on warm, not blue on cold, and balanced actually is balanced. Gorgeous tones. I also like that the head is magnetic, so I can pull it off and use it more as a decorative light instead of a lamp with its back button. The back button is fixed to be warm tone, which I don't personally mind... and I do kind of mind though is that sometimes the back portion of the lamp (the button) will illuminate under specific lamp side settings, which is odd but it's not so bright so I can let it slide. However, the "13 hour" use is straight bogus. I'm not sure if mine is simply defective, but I have let it charge until it indicated it no longer needed to, unplugged it, used it as normal, and within an hour or so, the lamp will turn off on its own and will refuse to stay on. I tried to leave it connected to power as I wouldn't mind using it as a plug in lamp so long as the light stays on, but it did not help; the lamp will still just decide to turn off. I have had a few full charge cycles with this product and the issue still occurs... so... Wonderful design, quality is very nice, but functionally... not so much.
