Too high a price for problems

Some splitting of wood frame and dowel rods after screwing in screws [my fault?]. Not a good design. Ugly screws show. Screw holes too small. I had to buy smaller screws, Direction drawings were so small I could not read them. The adjustable feature never made sense to me so I made 2 separate book racks. Not suitable for tall books. The screws I bought stick out and could hurt your fingers. Wood color looks pretty but you are really paying for dowel rods and I think it was overpriced and poorly engineered.
